In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Shell Oil was looking for an opportunity to help support small businesses and the New Orleans community. Jackson Squared Media teamed up with a local marketing agency and Shell Oil to launch launched during the peak holiday shopping season in November 2006, as an economic driver for small and medium-sized retail businesses in New Orleans. Shop Nola showcased quality establishments and encouraged residents and visitor’s to support locally-owned businesses and the economy as the city worked to not only recover – but to thrive.

Jackson Squared Media was extremely proud to be part of this initiative. In addition to supporting businesses featured charitable not-for-profits where donors could make a difference for the organizations directly making impacts in the lives of New Orleanians.
